For enablement, one should open a window of Windows Explorer and then click the ‘Folder option’ from the ‘View’ tab on the menu bar. One should then select the ‘view’ tab then disable the 'Hide file extensions for known file types' by unchecking it and then press OK. This will now make the user able to view all the files with their extensions. The .zip file can be changed to file extension WSZ by right clicking on the file and then choose “rename” from the menu. The ‘zip’ extension can now be deleted and on its place type ‘wsz’ and then ‘enter’.

Cannot open wsz files?

Not being able to open wsz files may be the result of not having the appropriate application installed or Operating System issues. You should ensure

The icon on the file will change from ‘zip to ‘wsz’ and when one double clicks on file extension WSZ, the Winamp skin is installed in the directory, “C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins\” thus the skin is now the Winamp default skin.
